BLACK VOTERS MATTERS FUND
Award-winning visionary thought leader, institution builder, cultural activist and artist, and connector. She is a nationally recognized, "go-to" expert in Black Voting Rights and Voter Suppression, Black Women's Empowerment, and Philanthropy. Her voice is the nexus between the Civil Rights Movement, the Black Power Movement, and Black Lives Matter. La Tosha co-founded BVMF and BVM Capacity Building Institute to boost Black voter registration and turnout to increase power in marginalized predominately Black communities.
As a formerly homeless returning citizen and now executive director of FRCC, he led a historic victory in 2018 with the passage of Amendment 4, restoring voting rights to over 1.4 million Floridians with past felony convictions. This was the single largest expansion of voting rights in the United States in half a century and brought an end to 150 years of a Jim Crow-era law in Florida. He is author of the soon to be released book, Let My People Vote, personal story of Desmond's life, his political activism, and historic campaign.
TEXAS ORGANIZING PROJECT
With more than a decade of experience working in the social justice movement on issues ranging from ex -offender re-enfranchisement to immigration reform, Briana focuses on building a bomb staff and membership that centralizes the experience of Black folks and Latinos as deput director of the largest grassroots community-based organization in Texas. She is a proud 4th generation Texan and founding board member of the African American Center on Global Politics and Human Rights.
Judith Browne Dianis
Judith has served as a lawyer, profesor and civil rights advocate for more than two decades in the movement for racial justice. Hailed as a voting rights expert and pioneer in the movement to dismantle the school-t-prison pipeline, Dianis leads the Advancement Porject's national office in combating structural racism in education, voting, policing, criminal justice and immigration.
BLACK VOTERS MATTER FUND
Cliff is a 2020 Soros Equality Felllow and cofounder of Black Voters Matter Fund. He has led BVMF through 13 primarily southern states in "The Blackest Bus in America" energizing voters and exposing voter suppression. He hosts a weekly radio show in Atlanta and ha served as an instructor of African-American Studies at several universities. Cliff previously lived in historic Selma, Alabama where he focused on bringing financial resources to Alabama's blackbelt region.
OTHERING & BELONGING INSTITUTE
With decades of organizing expereince, Gerald leads collaborative efforts with community, advocacy and faith partners across the country as the Identity and Politics Strategy Analyst for the Network for Transformative Change at OBI. He brings together diverse voices to research, develop and promote a strategic narrative to address marginalization and structural racialization while fostering structural inclusion.
